Paralives jeu4/28/2023 ![]() If they don't want to do it at all, then that's just something I'll accept. For me, I wouldn't care if it is in the base game or not, so long as we would eventually get it. They can do it in a free update or a later "Let's Go to School" DLC. If, and I say IF they chose to include playable schools in the game, they do not have to include it in the base game. Just because it is a small team does not mean they can't have big ideas. As developers we know what we are capable of and ultimately it is our game we are making and we will decide what will be included or not.Īs the game is still in early development, and there is no definite date for release, they technically have an indefinite amount of time to work on the game. To paraphrase- ALL ideas are WELCOMED no matter how big or small or simple or complex. Of course it depends on how well the game's open world can handle it. some of these were included in The Sims 3: Generations but in a rabbithole, seeing it happen would be amazing. Being in a good mood and studying hard will get better results, which impacts job applications or getting into college (if that's also included).Īnd of course, clubs, cliques, graduation. There could also be finals which causes a lot of stress in the last days of a teen's life stage (or I guess at a certain age, since gradual aging is a thing). Then you could take elective classes like home ec to raise cooking, shop for handiness, theater/debate/foreign languages for charisma, and maybe some detention activities would raise your cleaning skill. Paying attention in math or science class boosts logic, doing an essay on literature raises writing, gym raises athletic, art raises painting and gym raises body. Going to school could also boost skill levels for your para. Now I also have experience teaching it'd still be really fun - it's a more universal experience than the playable careers in that game or even college. I agree! When I played the Sims as a child I really wanted to see my simself and others go to school. People will finally be able to realize the full potential of life simulations games rather than being filled with so much doubt and skepticism that things are too "hard" to implement. This again is why Paralives is such a good thing. The fact that people even found something as simple as including Seasons and Pets in the base game practically impossible just goes to show. This just makes meI really feel though that the Sims have really made people underestimate just how great a life simulation can be. Even now though, you can already tell that Alex and his team already intend to make Paralives more in depth than the Sims. It's more a matter of time than anything else for how big the game will grow. Unless you really expect for Paralives to be some small scaled game compared to the Sims? Which, if you do, I have to argue that Paralives will indeed start out much smaller, but thats why they will have free updates and some DLCs for the future to come. So I don't see what is so difficult about it. And the sims has dozens of expansion and stuff packs (albeit poor quality). Having playable schools is not all that different from the Sims university expansion pack, just with better more in depth features. The tougher the competitor, the faster the ball is served so you also have a risk of failing, not just your para. Keep in mind though while playing, you will also have to point and click to keep up with the ball. If they join the volleyball team they can later use their high game scores to apply for an athletic scholarship. The team will cheer for them and their reputation in school will go up. However if your para has high athletic skills, they will be quick and make fast returns. If your para has low athletic skills then they will be slow and miss hitting the ball or give a weak/sloppy return. Once served, you must point and click the ball to have your para run to return it. Your para will be on one side of the net while you wait for the ball to be served. Here: imagine if your para is attending gym class and they play volleyball. I have also given my own example in discord. If you know what I am talking about it is something similar. But I realized that wasn't the case after playing. At first, I didn't think it would be fun. I've mentioned this before but, if you've ever been forced to play Roblox with a little sister like I was, you might have played the "Fairy Princess Highschool"? game. ![]() My first suggestion is mini game mechanics. There a lots of ways to make playable gameplay fun. Thanks to ""that other game"" and it's lackluster playable careers/universities, many people have abandoned any hope that anything other than rabit holes will just be boring or too much work.
